  Introduction

Hair is an important part of a person’s appearance, as it plays a significant role in making a person feel beautiful, confident, and self-assured. Also contributes to a person’s overall appearance and beauty. Many people take great care of their hair by washing, styling, and cutting it regularly to maintain a healthy, silky, and attractive appearance. However, some people may not be familiar with hair care routines. So here I am for the beginner to guide you in making the perfect haircare routine.

  Tips for perfect  haircare routine

a. Determine your hair type and needs

The first step in creating a perfect haircare routine is to understand your hair type (e.g., oily, dry, curly, or straight) and your hair concerns. Are you dealing with dryness, frizz, breakage, or some other issue? Finding out your hair types will help you choose the right products and techniques for your hair, as well as further help you deal with your hair issues.

b. Shampoo and condition regularly

To keep your hair clean and healthy, aim to shampoo and condition your hair at least once or twice a week. Pick a shampoo that fits your hair type and condition. Reduce bathing your hair too often, as it can deprive your hair of natural oils. If you have oily hair and you go out more often, then the dust may get stuck in your hair. So you may need to shampoo more frequently. And if you have dry, frizzy, or damaged hair, you may need to condition it more often to get healthy hair.

Conditioner is important for preserving moisture and detangling. Consider utilizing a deep conditioner or hair mask once a week. One more tip: “Use shampoo for your scalp and conditioner for the length of the hair, except for the scalp.”  Shampoo cleanses your scalp, whereas conditioners keep your hair soft, shiny, and smooth.

3. Use Hair Oils before the Shower

Use natural oils like coconut, argan, or jojoba oil to moisturize and nurture your hair. Concentrate on the ends, which tend to be drier.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is known for its moisturizing components. It can puncture the hair shaft, decreasing protein loss and strengthening the hair. To utilize coconut oil, first heat it slightly and spread it on your hair, concentrating on the ends. Then Leave it on for at least 40 minutes or overnight, and rinse it out with shampoo.

Argan Oil

Argan oil is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, making it wonderful for nurturing and hydrating hair. It can help tame frizz and add shine. Spread a few drops of argan oil on your palms and drive them through your hair, focusing on the ends.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is comparable to the natural oils created by the scalp, making it a perfect moisturizer for the hair and scalp. It can help to balance oil production and encourage hair development. Lay a few drops of jojoba oil on your scalp and rub it in, then spread more to the lengths of your hair if required.

These oils can be utilized separately or mixed, depending on your hair’s needs. Try to see which oil performs best for your hair type and situation.

d. Avoid heat-styling tools

If possible, try not to use heat-styling tools like hair dryers, flat irons, and curling wands. These tools can harm your hair (causing breakage, split ends, and hair thinning) and strip its natural oils. If you need to use heat styling tools, use a heat protection spray and keep the heat setting at a low level.

e. Trim your hair regularly

It’s important to trim your hair regularly to keep your hair healthy and prevent split ends. How often you trim depends on your hair type and how fast it grows. Generally, getting a trim every 6–8 weeks is a better idea. Trimming your hair enhances hair growth and improves the ends.

f. Experiment with different products and techniques

Never be afraid to try different products and new techniques to see what works best for your hair. Everyone’s hair is different, so what works for someone may not work for you. Therefore, be open to trying new things and be willing to adjust your routine as needed. Use the product that suits your hair and follow the techniques that have made your hair healthier and solved your hair issues.

g. Use a weekly hair mask

A weekly hair mask can help you to strengthen, moisturize, and improve the condition of your hair, which can ultimately reduce hair breakage, smooth frizz, make the hair more manageable, enhance shine, remove dryness, and nourish and repair your hair. You can use a hair mask twice a week if you have damaged hair. You can use it either weekly or once every two weeks. You can see the difference within a few months of using it. “Your hair will be far better than the previous one, and you will love the result of the hair mask.”.

h. Don’t over-wash your hair

Overwashing your hair can strip its natural oils and cause dryness on your scalp. Try to wash your hair only 2-3 times per week, or every other day if you have very oily hair or if you feel some dirtiness in your hair. Overwashing your hair may damage and frizz it, removing all your natural oils and leading to hair loss.

i. Avoid tight hairstyles

Tight hairstyles like ponytails, braids, and buns can cause damage to your hair. If you must wear your hair up, try to use softer, looser styles that put less strain on your hair. Either way, try to use claws to maintain your hair at the back; it will have less effect than the tight rubber. Moreover, try to leave your hair free, as it looks beautiful and has benefits for your hair too.

j. Never comb your wet hair

It is a common misstep made by many individuals that causes scalp irritation, as the pores of the scalp are open after the shower and may lead to hair loss and breakage. If you want to comb your wet hair, then try to use a wide-toothed brush rather than the regular one.

Therefore, these are some tips that will guide the beginner to getting the perfect haircare routine.

  Bonus Tip

Be consistent

Consistency is key when it comes to achieving certain goals. Likewise, to get healthy hair or solve any hair-related problems, We should be consistent in our haircare routine and have patience for the result. Try to follow the same routine every day to ensure that your hair stays healthy and nourished.
